Since 2012, a small but passionate group of parents and hockey fans have fostered the love of the game here in Mammoth Lakes, and the greater Eastern Sierra region. Mammoth Lakes Youth Hockey’s mission is to provide the young people of the Eastern Sierra the opportunity to play ice hockey in a fun, fair, safe, and competitive environment. MLYH encourages the development of individual and team skills both on the ice and off of it.

MLYH is an all-volunteer organization of more than a dozen community members from a variety of backgrounds. MLYH is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation and is a USA Hockey member organization.

Mammoth Lakes Youth Hockey strives to not only provide our players with a great on-ice experience, excellent coaching, and a great player to coach ratio, but also jerseys, ice time, and equipment for a reasonable registration fee.

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2023-2024 SEASON IS NOW OPEN!

Mammoth Lakes Youth Hockey is a co-ed program with the following age classifications:

• 6U – MINI MITES (Learn to Play) – Birth year 2017 and younger
• 8U – MITES – 2015 & 2016
• 10U – SQUIRTS – 2013 & 2014
• 12U – PEE WEES – 2011 & 2012
• 14U – BANTAMS – 2009 & 2010
• 18U – IN HOUSE ONLY – 2008 and older

Athletes of all ages and abilities are welcome and encouraged to come play!

The 23-24 Season will include:

• Two 60-minute practices per week (U10 and older)
• Two 45-minute half-ice practices per week (U8/U6)
• In-House games every Sunday (U8 – U14)
• Opportunity to play travel hockey (see below)
• Mammoth Indoor Ice Rink Season Pass
• Mammoth Stars Hockey Jersey
• Matching Hockey Socks
• Equipment Exchange
• Team and Individual Photos
• Discounted Registration for the L.A. Kings Mammoth Hockey Camp (if held)
• FUN! FUN! FUN!

23 – 24 Registration Fees:
-18U – 10U Programs: $450
-8U/6U Programs: $180

Travel/Tournament Program Information

For the 2023-2023 season, the Mammoth Stars travel hockey team fees are an additional $200 per player and include:

• Travel Tournament Registration Fees 
• Locally hosted tournaments
• TBD Travel tournaments – we are targeting 3 travel tournaments

*UNIFORMS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE TRAVEL FEE, BUT WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL COST

*Please note that unless your player is part of the travel team, they will not be eligible to play in any tournament, including those we host in Mammoth.
