Each participant in Mammoth Lakes Youth Hockey will need the following equipment. MLYH has a collection of gear that we offer at no charge. Sizes and condition vary.
- Helmet with full-cage face mask
- Neck protection (mandatory for all players)
- Mouthguard (optional, but a good idea)
- Shoulder pads
- Elbow pads
- Gloves
- Protective undergarment (this also holds up socks)
- Pants
- Shin pads
- Skates
- Hockey Stick – As a general guide, Right handed players use a LEFT stick, and left handed players use a RIGHT stick. Left and right on a hockey stick refers to the side of the body you shoot on, not handedness. 6U players can use a flat stick until they figure out what they like.
