Players Code of Conduct

  • Attendance at all practices is mandatory. If you will miss a practice, you must inform your coach or manager ahead of time.
  • Attendance at all games, both home and away is mandatory.
  • Be on time! If practice starts at 5:00, you are expected to be ready to go at 5:00, not walking in.
  • Be a good teammate!
    • Respect, support, and encourage your fellow players.
    • Remember everyone playing is there  to have fun and improve!
  • Bad behavior will not be tolerated. This includes:
    • Disrespecting  your coaches, officials, volunteers, opponents, facilities, and other parents.
    • Being disruptive or not listening  in practice, off-ice meetings, dryland training, or games.
    • Poor sportsmanship and foul language.
    • Bullying of any kind whether it be physical or verbal.
    • Dressing room antics.
      • If you engage in bad behavior, you may be removed from the ice, asked to leave a team event, benched, or suspended at the coach’s discretion.
  • School always comes first! Playing hockey is a privilege earned by being an excellent student.
    • Work as hard at school as you do on the ice.
    • If you miss school, you cannot participate in practice or games.
    • You must maintain at least a C grade in all your classes.
    • When you must miss school for a game or team event, you are expected to let your teacher know and make up any missed work.
  • Be an engaged member of your community.
  • Participate in volunteer events.
  • Have fun!
  • Remember, in all you do, you represent the Mammoth Stars and Mammoth Lakes Youth Hockey.
